Darkness Meditation
Looking at the darkness outside can be immensely helpful in realizing the formless within. Darkness is essentially formless. Moreover, it can absorb all the forms in itself. On a winter night, try this darkness meditation. Switch off all the lights of your room. Create as much darkness as possible. Light might be still filtering through the slits of the doors and windows. To block out this light, lie down and pull over a blanket or a quilt. Cover yourself from head to toe like a corpse with shroud. Then watch this darkness silently. Because there is nothing to watch, soon the watcher too disappears. Then there remains watching only. Pure watching. This pure watching is the highest stage of meditation.
